Video Forum 2007 Expose – the optical perspective

We checked out some interesting new technology at the Video Forum 2007. Whilst exhibiting our range of StorDigital Duplicators on the Digital Garage stand we had plenty of opportunity to see what was going on in the industry.

We benefited from a great location courtesy of Digital Garage we had a great spot next to Adobe – they pulled the crowds all day with premiere, after effects and flash presentations.

As a fairly seasoned digital media creative I was happy to find real interest in the informative presentations. Hats off to the Adobe team who kept the words coming and offered insightful and often amusing dialogue.

Flash animation and video sees the release of a great new tool set, that offers a blend of vector and bitmaps that will really help designers blur the lines – and make fuzzy monkeys.

Video also gets a realtime effects layer – where the effect component can be controlled independently, and over time. A nice set of tools that will bring flash video into a whole new interacive era. I hope.

I was happy with the simplicity of working off someone else’s stand. Digital Garage have a great relationship CD-writer.com and I think the StorDigital Product range really complemented their stand. Robotic dupers can really draw the eyes at these shows. Of course every stand has its own method of getting eyeballs, some might even use the services of models to pull the crowds. But not CD-writer.com and VideoForum 2007. However, here’s me with Anouska Bolton Lee for whom I had the great pleasure of doing a short duplicating job whilst at the show. Look out for her show reel here soon.

Here we see Charles – a well regarded key staff member at Digital Garage.
