CD-writer.com Ltd transfers ownership of epsondiscproducer.com to Epson Europe
Recent negotiations between CD-writer.com Ltd and Epson Europe intellectual properties agent, DEMYS have ended with a satisfactory resolution. The two companies have been in discussions regarding the ownership of the domain name epsondiscproducer.com. The likely site for hosting information regarding the pending Epson Disc Producer was registered by CD-writer.com Ltd in Q4 2007.
Nic Ranshaw from CD-writer.com Ltd had this to say, "Fortunately for Epson, their strategic domain name was registered and secured by a friendly party. It cannot be questioned that Epson own all legal rights to the domain name and we were more than happy to transfer the crytical domain name over to them."
He added, "We're not in the business of squating or warehousing and wish Epson success with their new product."

Warner abandons HD-DVD format
It's shocking and unexpected news to arrive at such a crucial time for this emerging technology, but many think it's just what the market needed.
In a massive blow to Toshiba’s HD-DVD hi-def disc format, content giant Warner Bros has announced that it is to release future HD movie content exclusively on Sony’s Blu-Ray format, with production of Toshiba’s HD-DVD discs to cease by May.
Warner chairman and CEO Barry Meyer said of the decision: "The window of opportunity for high-definition DVD could be missed if format confusion continues to linger.
"We believe that exclusively distributing in Blu-Ray will further the potential for mass market success and ultimately benefit retailers, producers, and most importantly, consumers."
